In the Bible, being “worthy” doesn’t mean being perfect or having everything together. It means understanding who you are because of your faith. When someone believes, they’re seen as valuable and chosen—not because of what they’ve done, but because of God’s love. That can feel hard to accept, especially when you mess up or compare yourself to others, but the message is clear: your worth isn’t earned, it’s given. This matters a lot in everyday life. School, friendships, social media—these can all make you feel like you have to prove yourself. But the Bible teaches that you already belong. Being “worthy” means you don’t have to chase approval or base your identity on what others think. Instead, you can live with confidence, knowing you have purpose and value just as you are.It also means living in a way that reflects that identity. Not to try and become worthy, but because you already are. Things like kindness, honesty, and standing up for what’s right aren’t about impressing people—they’re ways of showing what’s already true inside you. When you understand your worth, your actions start to line up with it naturally. At the end of the day, being worthy as a believer is about grace. It’s about knowing you’re loved even on your worst days. That kind of confidence doesn’t come from being flawless—it comes from trusting that your value is secure, no matter what.Angie Franks (Missouri)
