Faith

Faith grows from the foundation that we are already Loved, intentionally Chosen, deeply Known, invited to Abide, and called to Trust God.

Confident Trust in What We Cannot Yet See

Faith is more than belief.

It is confidence in God’s character even when circumstances are unclear.

Faith does not require complete understanding.
It requires trust in the One who does understand.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
— Hebrews 11:1

Faith is the quiet certainty that God is working even when the evidence is not yet visible.

What Faith Means in Scripture

The Greek word translated faith in the New Testament is pistis (πίστις).

It carries several connected meanings:

Trust
Conviction
Confidence
Reliance
Movement

Faith is not passive belief.
It is active reliance.

Faith always moves.

It moves us toward obedience.
It moves us toward trust.
It moves us forward even when the path is not fully visible.

When we learn to Abide in Christ and Trust His character, faith becomes the natural response of our hearts.

What Faith Is

Faith is not blind belief.
It is confident trust in who God is now.

Faith is not pretending to see.
It is trusting the One who sees.

Faith is not controlling outcomes.
It is relying on the One who holds them.

Faith does not mean everything feels certain.
It means your confidence rests in the faithfulness of God.

What Faith Does

Faith moves us to act in obedience

“For we live by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

Faith does not wait for perfect visibility.

It responds to God’s voice.

Often faith looks like taking the next step before you see the full staircase.

Faith grows when we remember we are already Loved, securely Chosen, and fully Known by God.

Faith grows stronger through testing

“The testing of your faith produces perseverance.” — James 1:3

Faith deepens in difficult seasons.

Challenges do not destroy faith — they refine it.

Testing exposes where our trust rests and strengthens our dependence on God.

Faith propels us forward

“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed…” — Matthew 17:20

Faith does not need to be large to be powerful.

Even small faith, placed in a faithful God, can move mountains.

Faith is less about the size of your belief and more about the reliability of the One you believe.

Faith pleases God

“Without faith it is impossible to please God.” — Hebrews 11:6

Faith honors God because it acknowledges His authority, His goodness, and His power.

Faith declares:
God, I trust You more than my own understanding.

Faith is sustained by Him

“Who through faith are shielded by God’s power…” — 1 Peter 1:5

Faith is not something we maintain by our own strength.

God sustains the faith of those who rely on Him.

Even when faith feels fragile, His power holds it steady.

In Faith

You do not wait for certainty.
You do not demand proof.
You do not control the outcome.

You trust the One who does.

You walk.
You obey.
You move forward.

Not because you see everything clearly.

But because He is faithful.

What Faith Looks Like in Everyday Life

Faith is not always dramatic.

Often it appears in quiet obedience.

Faith can look like:

• Trusting God’s timing when life feels delayed
• Choosing obedience even when others don’t understand
• Continuing to pray when answers feel slow
• Believing God’s promises when circumstances feel uncertain

Faith is not pretending everything is easy.

It is choosing to rely on God anyway.

Abiding keeps us connected to Christ, Trust anchors our confidence in Him, and Faith moves us forward.

The Invitation

If you are wearing this bracelet, let it remind you:

Faith is not about having all the answers.

It is about trusting the One who does.

You do not have to see the whole path.

Just take the next step.

God already knows where it leads.
